California Democrat Mayor Eileen Wang resigned after pleading guilty

A Southern California mayor has agreed to plead guilty to acting as an illegal agent for the Chinese government, and has resigned from her city position, officials said Monday.

Eileen Wang, the mayor of Arcadia, was charged in April with one count of acting in the United States as an illegal agent of a foreign government. She was accused of doing the bidding of Chinese officials, such as sharing articles favorable to Beijing, without prior notification to the U.S. government as required by law.

The 58-year-old was elected in November 2022 to a five-person city council, from which the mayor is selected on a rotating basis.

City manager Dominic Lazzaretto said in a news release that no city finances or staff were involved.

“We want to be clear: this investigation concerns individual conduct, and the charges are for conduct that ceased after Ms. Wang was sworn into office in December 2022,” he said.

Federal officials said she has agreed to plead guilty to the felony, which comes with a maximum sentence of 10 years in federal prison.

Adult Daycare Owner Billed Medicaid $32 Million for a Facility Found Empty

Adult Daycare Owner Billed Medicaid $32 Million for a Facility Found Empty — While Donating to Kathy Hochul.

Baoli Zhang’s Bao Kang Adult Day Care in Flushing, Queens has claimed at least $32 million from Medicaid since 2018 for tens of thousands of patients.

When the New York Post visited, the center was empty.

Zhang personally donated $10,000 to Governor Kathy Hochul, plus another $5,000 through his business. Other adult daycare owners in the same fraud-plagued area also donated while billing tens of millions for facilities that appeared vacant.

Four people connected to a company hired by New York City to operate homeless shelters for migrants were arrested

Four people connected to a company hired by New York City to operate homeless shelters for migrants were arrested Tuesday as part of a federal public corruption investigation that is also examining a City Council member and a top aide to New York Gov. Kathy Hochul.

The charges Tuesday focused on two leaders of the nonprofit, BHRAGS Home Care Corp., who are accused of stealing more than $1.3 million from the taxpayer-backed organization, and two subcontractors who the indictment says paid bribes and kickbacks to the men in exchange for contracts worth millions.

Investigators are also probing whether City Council Member Farah Louis and her sister Debbie Louis, an aide to Hochul, accepted bribes related to the appropriation of city funds to the nonprofit, according to a copy of a search warrant viewed by The Associated Press.

The indictment describes multiple layers of corruption within BHRAGS, a service provider that has received nearly $200 million in contracts from the city's Department of Homeless Services since 2022.

Prosecutors said the company's executive director, Roberto Samedy, and its former board chairman, Jean Ronald Tirelus, siphoned money from the nonprofit, including $800,000 earmarked for "economic growth and affordable housing" in distressed Brooklyn neighborhoods.

The pair also received more than $200,000 in kickbacks and bribes in exchange for steering contracts worth millions of dollars to businesses controlled by Edouardo St. Fort and Miguel Jorge, the indictment said.

Tirelus, Samedy and Jorge all pleaded not guilty through their attorneys in court on Tuesday and were released on bond. Tirelus' lawyer, Todd Spodek, said he "categorically disputes the charges and looks forward to clearing his name at trial." Samedy's attorney, Seth Zuckerman, also said his client was intent on "clearing his name and getting back to the important work BHRAGS is doing in the community."

St. Fort, a former New York City police sergeant, appeared in a Massachusetts courtroom Tuesday and was also released on bond. He did not enter a plea and did not respond to questions as he left the courtroom.

Messages left for Farah Louis, Debbie Louis and Edu Hermelyn were not returned.

In a statement, a spokesperson for BHRAGS said the nonprofit has served New Yorkers for more than 50 years "with integrity and the highest ethical standards, and we take the allegations against Mr. Samedy seriously."

The company has long focused on providing at-home health care to the sick and elderly, but expanded its mission in recent years to include homeless services. Their pivot came as the city's existing shelter system was stretched thin by the influx of asylum seekers under the former mayor, Eric Adams.

Former state lawmaker and APS Administrator, Sheryl Williams Stapleton *convicted*

Former state lawmaker and APS Administrator, Sheryl Williams Stapleton convicted of conspiring to steal federal grant money from the school district.

Bela Olague has doggedly covered the two-week federal trial. I got to assist her today after the jury returned the GUILTY verdict.

Sheryl Williams Stapleton had nothing to say after a jury found her guilty of scheming to steal millions of dollars meant for Albuquerque students. Even as she was peppered with questions, the former state representative and APD administrator maintained her silence.

Stapleton’s attorney told KRQE that she is not speaking to the media because she still faces charges at the state level. “It’s not a matter of her not wanting to talk. It’s a matter of the process and the system,” said Ahmad Assed.

New York Post investigation finds adult daycare operators who billed Medicaid tens of millions

New York Post investigation finds adult daycare operators who billed Medicaid tens of millions while donating to Gov. Kathy Hochul and other Democrats.

Local powerbroker Baoli Zhang’s various businesses have claimed at least $32 million from Medicaid since 2018. Jiemin Shang’s daycares also billed millions (one alone took in $5.8 million in a single year).

When reporters visited two of their Flushing, Queens facilities last week, the centers appeared empty of patients.

Campaign finance records show Zhang personally donated $10,000 plus another $5,000 through one of his daycares to Hochul. Shang’s businesses contributed at least $10,000 more. Overall, social adult daycare centers in the fraud-plagued area gave Hochul about $55,000.

Hochul’s office responded that political contributions have no influence on government decisions.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Thursday criminal charges against five noncitizens

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Thursday criminal charges against five noncitizens and one U.S. citizen in connection with alleged illegal voting or voter registration activity surrounding the 2024 general election.

The five noncitizens are accused of registering to vote, casting ballots or both despite being ineligible.

The U.S. citizen, Kimberley DiDonato, 60, allegedly registered her noncitizen husband to vote while posing as him online.

Prosecutors say she later sought to cancel the registration and claimed she was testing the system for vulnerabilities.

The other defendants are Michael Akioya, 39; Alondra Harker, 26; Harumi Michael, 60; Robert Piva, 67; and Basanth Sadasivian, 29.

The charges range from misdemeanors involving fraudulent registration and false statements to felonies including election forgery and attempting to vote as an unqualified elector.

Former Lumberton Township Mayor Gina LaPlaca and her husband face criminal charges

Former Lumberton Township Mayor Gina LaPlaca and her husband face criminal charges for submitting a nominating petition packed with fake signatures in a failed bid to stay on the Democratic primary ballot.

Prosecutors say multiple people whose names appeared on the petition never signed it and never gave permission for anyone else to sign. Without those fraudulent names, LaPlaca would not have qualified for the June primary.

She had sworn under oath that she personally circulated the petition and that every signature was authentic.

The charges come after LaPlaca pleaded guilty earlier this year to driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol level of 0.30 percent while her young child was in the car.

A local official already convicted of endangering her own child is now accused of lying under oath to stay on the ballot

The pair went into Minneapolis polling locations dressed as Muslim women.

According to the footage they captured, poll workers were prepared to let them cast ballots under other people’s names.

The workers also offered to vouch for eight unregistered foreigners so those individuals could vote too.

The son of the Louisiana judge set to preside over the gang rape of LSU student

The son of the Louisiana judge set to preside over the gang r*pe of LSU student Madison Brooks, is a convicted serial rapist who attacked multiple girls including classmates, and the judge herself once represented him in court.

"The judge’s son was accused of rape a while back, so she knows to help us,” and that she would be “really good for our case.”

Judge Gail Horne Ray is set to handle the Aug. 17 trial of Desmond Carter, 21, one of the men charged in connection with the January 2023 assault on Brooks.

Taylor was previously released on parole but was arrested in 2024 on an obscenity charge involving exposing himself to a hotel maid.
In July of this year he returned to court, trying to get the forcible rape convictions and sentences set aside, arguing unresolved issues with a 2001 motion.

Ray served as one of her son’s defense attorneys.

Questions about her impartiality in the Brooks case intensified after defendant Casen Carver texted his dad saying the judge’s “son was accused of rape a while back, so she knows to help us,” and that she would be “really good for our case.”

9.2 MILLION PEOPLE enrolled in the Obamacare Medicaid expansion are completely ineligible

Nearly 50% FRAUD across the entire system

Look at what’s happening with YOUR taxpayer dollars:

• Illegal aliens and non-citizens getting free healthcare benefits
• Millions of people making too much money to qualify
• California sitting at a disgraceful 62% ineligible rate
• New York intentionally ignoring the problem to rake in federal cash

Sanctuary states are leeching tens of billions from legal American taxpayers, and the Democrats don't care because it fits their agenda.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirms the same funded network runs anti-ICE, pro-Hamas, and 2020 riots

Rubio stated the protests are NOT "organic": “They were the same people you saw on the streets burning things in 2020.

They then flip it around and they become the pro-Hamas protesters, then they flip it around and within 48 hours of Maduro’s arrest have pre-printed signs outside the courthouse demanding his release. Then they’re out there doing the ICE stuff, attacking ICE agents.”

“There’s nothing organic about it. It is funded, it is organized, and Cuba is a part of that network.”

Groups repeatedly tied to this activity include Code Pink, The People’s Forum, ANSWER Coalition, Democratic Socialists of America, Party for Socialism and Liberation, and others with documented links to Cuban influence operations.
