The Executive Director of Black Lives Matter Oklahoma has been federally indicted for stealing $3.15 million

According to a recently unseales 25-count indictment, Tashella Dickerson stole pretrial bail money that donors and national groups - including the likes of Kamala Harris - were using to bail out rioters.

Instead of routing the funds into the revolving bail program, she allegedly routed the cash into her personal bank accounts and the bank accounts of a company she controlled.

She used the money to bankroll a lavish lifestyle.
The scheme happened between une 2020 and October 2025.

Black Lives Matter Oklahoma City raised more than $5.6 million during and after the nationwide riots, most of it had to be funneled through the Arizona-based organization because the local chapter was never registered as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization.
