Judge Deadra Jefferson sentenced a child predator to 1 day for possessing nearly 1,900 images and videos of children being sexually abused.

Judge Jefferson was elected to the bench by the South Carolina Legislature in 1996

She approved a plea deal for child predator Donald Edward Gresh Jr. who had the material that included toddlers as young as three raped by adults and animals.

Gresh faced six charges in 2018 after police raided a business he owned and found the child sexual abuse material (CSAM):

Videos of 11- to 13-year-old girls having sex with an older male,
A photo of a 3- to 4-year-old forced into sex, and
Files of kids with animals.

Instead, prosecutors dropped five of the six charges. Gresh pleaded guilty to one reduced count. The plea deal was hammered out in about 15 minutes.

Jefferson presided, signed off on the one-day sentence (time served), lifetime sex offender registration, and 20 years of supervision.
