Illegal migrant who admitted she committed document fraud to get into the country was sworn in as Mayor of St. Paul Minnesota

“I am illegal in this country. My parents are illegal here in this country.”

Kaohly Vang Her made the comments in June of last year, while speaking on the house floor during a special session debate on a bill to remove MinnesotaCare coverage for illegal migrants.

She said her family “broke the law to come here” via document fraud by her father to speed up their refugee paperwork from Laos in the early 1980s.

She walked it back the same day claiming she and her parents are naturalized U.S. citizens.
She was elected in January and is still mayor.
