Crockett accuses a Republican of taking money from Jeff Epstein.

There is just one slight problem!!

When Crockett stood on the House floor, she tried to create the moment of the day.

She claimed that Republicans like Mitt Romney, George Bush, the NRCC, McCain Palin, Rick Lazio, WinRed, and especially former Congressman and current EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin had all taken money from somebody named Jeffrey Epstein.

She delivered it like she had uncovered a national scandal.

She said it in a way that made everyone picture the real Jeffrey Epstein, the one tied to the island, the one whose name sends shockwaves through any conversation.

But here is the twist.
None of the donations she cited came from that Jeffrey Epstein.

Not even close.

The donors were completely different men with the same name.

One is a physician in New York.

Another is a businessman in New Jersey.

Both of them are fully alive, fully unrelated, and fully innocent of anything resembling the crimes of the infamous Epstein.

Their donations even came years after the real Epstein died, which should have been a huge clue that something was off.

Lee Zeldin absolutely torched her claim in his response on X.

He made it clear that his donor was a doctor on Long Island and that there was no freakin relation.
He mocked Crockett for confusing the two and made her entire accusation collapse in seconds.
It was the kind of correction that stings because every part of it was verifiably true.

So Crockett tried to spin her way out.
She said her team only had about twenty minutes to research.
She said they googled it.

She insisted she never literally said it was the real Jeffrey Epstein.
She said she was simply reading names off the records.

But everyone knows what she intended.

You do not drag the name Jeffrey Epstein into a House debate unless you intend for people to associate it with the most notorious Epstein in American memory.

Crockett wanted shock value.
What she got was a self inflicted embarrassment.

And let’s not pretend the timing was accidental.

This happened in the middle of Congress debating serious matters related to Epstein.
Instead of being honest or responsible, Crockett tossed a completely unsupported accusation into the mix.

She muddied the water, confused the facts, and then acted surprised when the blowback hit her harder than anything she aimed at Republicans.

In the end, her attempt to tie Republicans to Epstein only exposed her own mistake.

She accused the wrong men.
She misled the public.
She ignored basic verification.
She scrambled for excuses afterward.

And the whole country saw it happen in real time.
