Texas Dr. May Lau has surrendered her medical license

Texas Dr. May Lau has surrendered her medical license after she was sued by AG Ken Paxton for giving transgender drugs to children.

The Dallas-based pediatrician affiliated with UT Southwestern Medical Center and Children's Health, has officially surrendered her Texas medical license - the Texas Medical Board lists her license status as "cancelled by request."

Paxton making the announcement today after filing the lawsuit against Dr. Lau (and two other Texas doctors) under Senate Bill 14, Texas' 2023 law banning gender-affirming care for minors.

The suit alleged Lau provided prohibited treatments—including puberty blockers and hormone therapy—to at least 21 children and falsified medical records to disguise the prescriptions as treatments for other conditions.
