Tim Walz Minnesota is drowning in fraud

The latest coming in a $300 Million medicaid housing fraud, according to Acting U.S. Attorney Joseph H. Thompson

Thompson said that the Medicaid-funded housing program was hijacked by criminals who are stealing tens of millions from taxpayers. The eight who have been indicted so far are:

Moktar Aden
Mustafa Ali
Khalid Dayib
Abdifitah Mohamed
Anwar Adow
Asad Adow
Abdirahman Falade
Amina Falade

In total, six of the eight are Somali Muslims with the other two being migrants from Nigeria.

Ilhan Omar - who is Somali herself- oversees a district with one of the largest Somalian populations in the nation numbering upwards of 100,000.

Launched in July 2022, Minnesota's Housing Stabilization Services (HSS) program was the nation's first to tap Medicaid funds specifically for helping seniors, people with disabilities, and those battling substance use disorders secure and maintain housing.

But federal investigators say it quickly devolved into a magnet for criminals.
Costs skyrocketed from
$42 million in 2022 to
$74 million in 2023,
$104 million in 2024, and another
$61 million in the first half of 2025 alone. - totaling about $300 million

"Most of it is fraud, as far as I can tell," Thompson stated bluntly.
