Former Contractor for USAID program has been Convicted & Sentenced For Conspiracy to to Obtain Grant Money Through Fraud. He was just extradited to the U.S. to face justice.
53-Year-Old Stephen Paul Edmund Sutton of the UK, pleaded guilty, and was sentenced for his role in a fraud scheme.
Sutton was getting kickbacks of USAID funds from The Power Distribution Program (PDP) - which was giving taxpayer money through USAID to modernize electric companies in Pakistan.
The program was created in 2010 under Barack Obama.
DOGE audits found rampant waste, fraud and abuse in USAID.
Trump moved to dismantle the agency however Democrats fought fiercely to keep all funding flowing through the program.
