According to NBC2, DeSoto County deputies saw Smith driving near his home. Deputies approached Smith and immediately noticed marijuana in plain sight in his home and his car. After that, a search warrant was executed. The search revealed over 64 grams of marijuana, 296 baggies labeled for distribution, and multiple firearms. One firearm was reportedly stolen from Highlands County.
